The 1Protection.AI Asana integration brings advanced data leak protection directly into your team's task management workflows. By scanning task descriptions, user comments, and attachments in real time, this integration helps prevent sensitive data from being shared or exposed within Asana.

With seamless and automated monitoring, you can enforce your security policies without disrupting productivity, keeping your workspaces secure and compliant.

Automated Actions to Match Your Policies

When a policy violation is detected, you can configure automated actions to respond instantly. Content can be redacted, deleted, or left unchanged depending on your organization's security requirements.

These actions apply consistently across your entire Asana environment, ensuring predictable and policy-driven handling of sensitive information.

Regardless of the chosen action, all potential data leak risks are documented and displayed in the centralized administrator dashboard, giving you complete visibility into your Asana activity.

Centralized Visibility and Control

Every violation detected within Asana is logged in real time, enabling security teams to track incidents and maintain a complete audit trail.

The administrator dashboard provides a clear overview of all violations and actions taken, supporting compliance efforts and enabling proactive risk management.

How to Configure

Before you can start using the Asana integration, an administrator must set it up as part of the standard integration process.

  • Log into your 1Protection.AI dashboard.

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Asana.

  • Follow the integration steps as outlined in the Integration Setup Guide.

  • Ensure the appropriate security policies are created and active (refer to the Policy Guide).

Once configured by an administrator, each user must grant access individually to activate the integration for their Asana profile.

Activating Access for Users

Option 1: Via WebApp Login

When a user logs into the 1Protection.AI WebApp and the Asana integration has been configured, they will be automatically redirected to an Asana authorization screen if they have not yet granted access.

After approving the request, the user is redirected back to the 1Protection.AI dashboard, and the integration becomes active for their Asana account.

Option 2: Via Direct Access Link

Alternatively, administrators can generate and share a direct access link with users. This link can be found in the integration description section within the 1Protection.AI WebApp.

When users click this link, they are taken directly to the Asana authorization page without needing to log into the WebApp first.

What Happens If Access Is Not Granted

If a user does not grant access or later revokes it through Asana, automated actions (such as redaction or deletion) cannot be applied to that user’s content.

However, all potential violations will still be recorded in the administrator dashboard for review. The next time the user logs into the 1Protection.AI WebApp, they will be prompted again to authorize access to reactivate full protection.
