Policies in 1Protection.AI are high-level configurations that determine which parts of your integrations will be monitored for data leaks and the actions taken when violations are detected. Policies serve as the governing rules that ensure sensitive data is protected consistently across your organization.
Key Policy Components
A Policy allows you to define monitoring rules and responses, making it a comprehensive strategy for data security across your integrations.
Scope of Monitoring: Define specific parts of an integration or apply the policy to the entire integration to monitor for sensitive data.
Detection Rules Assignment: Attach one or more Detection Rules to the policy, specifying which types of sensitive data are to be monitored. This allows you to fine-tune each policy to address specific data protection goals.
Alerting and Automatic Actions: Configure alerts and responses when sensitive data is detected:
Alerting Options: Alerts can be sent automatically to supported destinations, such as Email, Webhook (upcoming), and Microsoft Teams (upcoming).
Automatic Actions: Policies allow for proactive measures to be taken, such as blocking access or notifying administrators.
Policies enforce data protection standards by ensuring that all Detection Rules are actively monitored and managed. With configurable alerting and response actions, Policies allow you to build a comprehensive, automated response framework for data security.
